Montalcino, Tuscany · Red · 100% Sangiovese

The Riserva comes from Vigna Paganelli, one of the oldest vineyards in Montalcino. Its vines were planted in 1964, so they were nearly 50 years old when this wine was made, and old vines like these give smaller crops of deeper, more concentrated grapes. As a Riserva, it's given extra ageing before release.

Deep and layered, with dark cherry, plum, dried herbs and spice. Structured and serious, with the depth that old vines bring.
