Saint-Julien, Bordeaux · Red · From vineyards of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc

Saint-Pierre was classified as a fourth growth in 1855, but over the following century the estate was split up and sold off in pieces. In 1982 Henri Martin, owner of neighbouring Château Gloria, bought it and patiently reassembled it, and his family still runs it today.

2016 was a superb vintage on the Left Bank. Expect cassis, cedar and graphite, with ripe, fine tannins and a long finish.
