The very first release: my 2025 Chardonnay from the clay loam soils of Lincoln Lakeshore. Organically grown, hand-harvested, and rested in tight-grained French oak — 30% new, just enough to frame the wine without imposing on its character.
The result is a wine that does what its name promises, dancing on the palate, light on its feet, all with graceful charm and momentum.

The 2025 Vintage
The rain was coming, and the fruit was exactly where we needed it. We called in every hand we had — me among the team — and picked through a grey, hurrying dawn.
Yields came in cruelly low, but every grape was ours: organically farmed, hand-tended, honest. The wine went to barrel and stayed there. No shortcuts on oak, no shortcuts on time.
Skimming Bird — made slowly, tended by hand, and poured, we hope, on evenings worth remembering.
